Shanghai Jiao Tong University announced on Wednesday that it has launched a special initiative to subsidize students experiencing financial hardship caused by the current coronavirus outbreak.
The initiative is open to both undergraduates and postgraduates of the university. Students can apply online and teachers can also help their students submit applications. Allowances will be approved based on students’ financial need and paid into their registered bank accounts.
