French cosmetics giant L’Oréal Group has donated 5 million yuan to the Red Cross Society of China to support China in fight against the ongoing novel coronavirus epidemic.

Jean-Paul Agon, chairman and CEO of L’Oréal Group and a member of the International Business Leaders’ Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai, also made a video to express solidarity with the Chinese people.

“As a foreign company that feels so close to China, I want to assure you that you can count on us. L’Oréal will always be fully supportive and united with all of you,” he said. “We fully trust the Chinese government to take effective and appropriate measures to best contain this epidemic.“

He said the company is going to make continuous contributions to China’s efforts.

“China is part of my life and of my heart,” he added.
