More trains, shorter intervals, for Metro Line 16

More trains with six carriages will run on Metro Line 16 from Monday, Shanghai Metro said on Saturday.

From Monday, another six-carriage train will carry passengers during the morning rush hour.

Outside rush hours, two more trains will run, with intervals reduced to 7 minutes from the current 8.

Line 16 serves the FTZ's Lingang Special Area, and links Dishui Lake with Longyang Road Station which connects with Lines 2 and 7.
