Four more imported cases were reported in the city as of midnight Thursday, which has brought the total number of imported coronavirus cases to 187, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Friday. Another 13 imported suspected cases are undergoing check.

All of the four cases are Chinese, two working in Russia, one studying in the UK and one having business trip in the Netherlands.

Two were put under quarantine upon arrival at the Pudong International Airport and developed symptoms during quarantine, and two were sent to hospital after showing symptoms upon arrival.

The four patients have been transferred to the designated hospital and their 23 close contacts on the planes have been tracked and put under quarantine and observation.

Among the total 187 imported cases, 16 have been discharged upon recovery and 171 are hospitalized, including one in critical condition.

No new local cases or suspected cases were reported in the latest 24 hours.

Among the 339 local cases, 327 have been discharged upon recovery, and six are hospitalized, including five in critical condition. There are so far six local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation right now, the health commission said.
