3 imported coronavirus cases reported in Shanghai
Three more imported cases of coronavirus were reported in the city on Friday, bringing the total number of such infections to 190, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Saturday morning.
All the patients are Chinese: two who studied in the US and one who lived in the UK.
The two students were transferred to a hospital for observation as they showed symptoms upon arrival at the Pudong International Airport. The other patient was put under quarantine upon arrival at the airport and developed symptoms during quarantine.
All the three patients have been transferred to the designated hospital and their 20 close contacts on the planes have been tracked and put under quarantine and observation.
Meanwhile, five imported cases - three from the UK and one each from France and the US - were discharged from hospital upon recovery on Friday.
So far all the190 imported cases, 21 have been discharged upon recovery and 169 are hospitalized, including one in critical condition.
Another 17 suspected imported cases are undergoing test.
No new locally transmitted cases were reported on Friday.
Among the 339 local cases, 327 have been discharged upon recovery, and six are hospitalized, including five in critical condition. There have been six local fatalities.
No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation right now, the health commission said.
