Another four passengers on the same flight from Russia were confirmed with coronavirus infection on Tuesday. So far, 64 people on that flight arriving in Shanghai on Friday have been reported infection, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Wednesday morning.

All the newly diagnosed cases are Chinese and have been transferred to hospital upon arrival for showing symptoms.

Fifty-one people was confirmed infection on Saturday and nine confirmed on Sunday. A total of 80 passengers on the flight were reported as suspected cases on Friday for showing symptoms upon arrival.

All the four new patients have been transferred to designated hospital for treatment and their 76 close contacts on the plane have been down and put under quarantine and observation.

Meanwhile, 10 imported patients were discharged upon recovery on Tuesday, including seven from the US and three from the UK, the commission said.

So far, of all the 283 imported cases, 140 have been discharged upon recovery and 143 are hospitalized, including one in critical condition.

No new locally transmitted cases or suspected cases were reported on Monday.

Among the 339 local cases, 328 have been discharged upon recovery and four are hospitalized, one are seriously sick and one in critical condition. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation right now, the health commission said.
