No new imported cases of novel coronavirus were reported in the city on Friday and 22 imported infections, 10 from the UK, five from France, four from Russia, one from United Arab Emirates, one from Germany and one from the US, were released upon recovery, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Saturday morning.

So far, of all the 289 imported cases, 181 have been discharged upon recovery and 108 are hospitalized, including one in critical condition.

Another 33 imported suspected cases were undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted cases or suspected cases were reported on Friday, when a local case, who was in critical condition, was discharged upon recovery.

Of the 339 local cases, 331 have been discharged upon recovery and one being hospitalized is in serious condition. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation right now, the health commission said.
