Shanghai universities issue notices on reopening

Some universities in Shanghai have announced dates for students to return following a prolonged winter vacation and nearly two months of online learning due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The University of Shanghai for Science and Technology said its graduating postgraduate students can return on Monday, and graduating undergraduates on Tuesday. Other students can come back in different batches starting from May 6. Dates will be announced later for overseas students.

Fudan University said it will begin to arrange returns of students in batches starting next Monday but specific dates and requirements will be decided by its schools or colleges.

It asks all students to follow notices related to returning and protecting themselves against the virus.

Donghua University also released a notice saying it will begin arranging students to return from May 5. Its students will receive specific return dates and requirements from the units they study in.

The university also reminds students not to come back before receiving notice.
