A book recording Shanghai's fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic, as well as providing health knowledge and tips on disease prevention, was released by the Shanghai Health Commission on Friday.

This is the nation's first such book to chronicle how a city took action during the outbreak. It also features opinions from leading health officials and experts on coronavirus prevention and control.

"Health education played an important role in the city's coronavirus battle. With proper health knowledge and information, residents can protect themselves and not blindly follow rumors or suffer panic," said Dr Wu Fan, a member of the city's expert team on coronavirus treatment.
