Chinese roses decorate city's elevated roads
Shanghai's elevated roads have been decorated with about 100 kilometers of greenery and 550,000 Chinese roses, adding a splash of color to the city's landscape, the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau said on Tuesday.
The Chinese roses are of seven varieties and more will be introduced in the future, the bureau said.
By the end of last year, the city had about 4.32 million square meters of vertical greenery on building roofs, walls and elevator roads, it said.
