3 new coronavirus cases reported in Shanghai

Three imported COVID-19 cases were reported in the city on Monday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Tuesday morning.

The newly diagnosed patients include a Chinese working in Singapore and two Chinese studying in the US.

The patients have been transferred to the designated hospital for treatment, while 118 close contacts on the same plane with them have been tracked down and put under quarantine and observation.

So far, of all the 354 imported cases, 333 have been discharged upon recovery and 21 are still hospitalized.

Meanwhile, one imported suspected case is undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Monday.

Of all the 341 local cases, 334 have been discharged upon recovery. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
