Head of coronavirus treatment team donates blood
Dr Zhang Wenhong, head of Shanghai's medical team for treating coronavirus patients, donated blood at a donation vehicle at the Anyi Night Market in downtown Jing'an District on Thursday.
Zhang was also an ambassador for this year's World Blood Donor Day on June 14.
"I required local residents to stay at home to avoid coronavirus spreading when the epidemic was serious in China. The city is regaining its vitality now that the epidemic situation is stable," Zhang said. "Donating blood is important for patients and I encourage all eligible people to take part."
