Party Secretary Li Qiang meets Wilmar CEO

Shanghai Party Secretary Li Qiang met Kuok Khoon Hong, chairman and CEO of Wilmar International, in Shanghai yesterday.

During the meeting, Li introduced details about local measures for the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as for the city’s economic and social development.

“We welcome Wilmar International to expand investment in Shanghai to better meet residents’ demand for quality life, and we welcome all kinds of enterprises to invest in Shanghai and have a win-win development,” Li stated.

Wilmar International is confident of the Chinese market and will expand investment and business to have better development in the areas of food and health industries, Kuok said.

City leaders Weng Zhuliang and Zhuge Yujie also joined the meeting.

Wilmar International Ltd, headquartered in Singapore, is an investment holding company engaged in the processing, merchandising, and distribution of agricultural products.
