Taipei-Shanghai Forum to be conducted online

The 2020 Taipei-Shanghai Forum will be held online on July 22 with conference venues in both cities, the Shanghai Taiwan Affairs Office announced on Friday.

The forum will focus on anti-pandemic exchanges and economic cooperation. It aims to promote experience sharing and information exchanges in areas including healthcare, industry and smart transport, as well as regional governance and cooperation.

Launched in 2010, the annual forum is held in Shanghai and Taipei in rotation and has been an important communication platform for the two cities. Shanghai and Taipei have deepened their communication and broadened their cooperation with each other by signing 36 agreements so far, according to the office.
