No COVID-19 cases reported in Shanghai for Sunday

No new coronavirus cases were reported in Shanghai on Sunday, while one locally transmitted and four imported patients including two from Mexico, one from the US and one from the UK were discharged upon recovery, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Monday morning.

So far, of all the 391 imported cases, 371 have been discharged upon recovery and 20 are still hospitalized.

Three imported suspected cases are undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Sunday.

The released local case is a 38-year-old Indian man, who went to a quarantine area to take care of his 5-year-old daughter arriving from India with her mother who was confirmed infection on June 21. He and his daughter were both confirmed infection and sent to the designated hospital for treatment on June 29.

Of all the 342 local cases, 335 have been discharged upon recovery. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
