New collaboration promotes education in dance

Xinying International Dance and Art Center launched a strategic cooperation in art education with Shanghai University of Sport on Tuesday.

According to Du Youjun, director of the School of Media and Art with Shanghai University of Sport, choreography has become a popular major at the school.

“Our collaboration will help us cultivate more dancing professionals and elevate students’ esthetics,” Du said. 

“In terms of the potential for China’s dancing market, the school is also considering new curricula on street dance.”

Bu Zhicheng, executive director of Xinying International Dance and Art Center and also a graduate of Shanghai University of Sport, said they will offer students internship opportunities.

“Art education is now gaining increasing attention from the public,” Bu added. “Art has no boundaries. We will cooperate with more local schools to promote arts on the campus.”
