The city reported three more imported novel coronavirus cases on Friday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Saturday morning.

The first patient is a Chinese studying in Britain who arrived at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport on August 14. 

The second patient is a Brazilian who arrived at the Shanghai airport on August 25.

The third is a Chinese working in the United States who arrived at the Shanghai airport on August 25.

The new patients have been transferred to a designated hospital for treatment, while 85 close contacts on the planes have been put under quarantine and observation at designated places.

Meanwhile, seven patients were discharged from hospital upon recovery on Friday.

So far, of all the 552 imported cases, 491 have been discharged upon recovery and 61 are still hospitalized.

No imported suspected cases are undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Friday, according to the commission.

Of all the 342 local cases, 335 have been discharged upon recovery. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
