Shanghai reported six more imported novel coronavirus cases on Sunday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Monday morning.

The first patient is a Chinese working in Guinea who arrived at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport on August 25.

The second is a Chinese working in Maldives who arrived at the Shanghai airport on August 29.

The other four patients are all Chinese working in Iraq who departed from the country on August 28 and arrived in Shanghai the next day.

The new patients have all been transferred to the designated hospital for treatment, while 132 close contacts on the planes have been put under quarantine and observation at designated places.

Meanwhile, six patients were discharged from hospital upon recovery on Sunday.

So far, of all the 561 imported cases, 500 have been discharged upon recovery and 61 are still hospitalized.

No imported suspected cases are undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Sunday, according to the commission.

Of all the 342 local cases, 335 have been discharged upon recovery. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
