1 imported COVID-19 case reported in Shanghai

Three  more coronavirus patients were discharged from hospital upon recovery, said the city's health authority.

The city reported one new imported novel coronavirus case on Monday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Tuesday morning.

The patient, a Ukrainian living in Ukraine, arrived at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 12 via the UK.

The patient has been transferred to a designated hospital for treatment, while 44 close contacts on the same plane have been put under quarantine and observation at designated places.

Meanwhile, three patients were discharged from hospital upon recovery. So far, of all the 606 imported cases, 565 have been discharged upon recovery and 41 are still hospitalized.

Two imported suspected cases are undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Monday, according to the commission.

Of all the 342 local cases, 335 have been discharged upon recovery. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
