Drones light up the sky in a unique aerial light show.

Drones will fly above the North Bund to illuminate the sky in a unique light show during this year’s Shanghai Cruise and Yacht Tourism Festival.

From Tuesday to Saturday, the light show will take place every night above the Huangpu River. Meanwhile, riverside restaurants and pubs will present live music performances to echo the show.

This year’s festival kicked off over the weekend with an online opening ceremony. Four Internet stars took livestreaming yachts tours on the Huangpu River and visited SIPG Cruise City in Hongkou District. In finale, 500 drones presented the spectacular show.

During the festival, a popular outdoor entertainment complex called Magic Jungle will be covered with graffiti. At the complex, visitors can also experience a giant six-story swing and enjoy local street culture.

The festival will end on Sunday with a special event featuring a stamp debut, cultural fair and handicraft workshop in honor of World Tourism Day.
