Online information on cognitive disorders

The city’s health authority has established an Internet-based cognitive disorder screening, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation platform, officials said on Monday, World Alzheimer's Day.

The public can get information on hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and senior care facilities offering health services and care for people with cognitive disorders through the WeChat account of the Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Information about 141 facilities offering care and support are available on the platform, said Fu Chen, director of Shanghai CDC.

Meanwhile, a cognitive disorder diagnosis, treatment and care alliance was established on Monday to help set up a service system offering prevention, treatment, support and care for patients with cognitive disorders.
