The anthology film "My People, My Homeland” will hit cinemas across China on October 1.

The film retains the shooting style of the acclaimed 2019 production "My People, My Country," which featured multiple stories by different filmmakers.

In the film, five short stories about ordinary people in different cities and villages are told.

Xu Zheng, director of one of the stories, shared his shooting experience with local movie buffs at the film’s roadshow in Shanghai on Monday.

Xu's contribution to the film focuses on a village school, and is meant as a tribute to the country's hardworking village teachers.

“It is a rewarding experience for me to tell a story about teachers’ dedication and emotions,” said Xu.
