Local maternity hospital ranks top in project sponsorship
Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital remains top among all maternity hospitals in China after having the largest number of projects recognized by the country's natural science foundation this year, the hospital announced on Wednesday.
The hospital has 33 projects receiving sponsorship from the foundation this year.
The projects cover scientific research, clinical practice and hospital management.
Wan Xiaoping, president of the hospital, said clinical practice and basic research are both supporting the hospital's continued development. It will also invest more in scientific research, talent training and transforming of lab achievement into practical products and technologies.
