Renovated Beidi Road reopens to public traffic
Beidi Road serves as a link between the Outer Ring in the west and Middle Ring in the east.
Following major renovation work, Beidi Road is now reopen to public traffic.
Located in Changning District, the renovated Beidi Road, consisting of a main road and underground tunnel, links overpasses on the Outer and Middle Ring roads going from east to west.
Constructed by Chengtou Group, TEC and SCG, the above-ground part is a two-way avenue with eight lanes, covering a total length of 2.4 kilometers.
The 1.8-kilometer tunnel has already been in operation since January. It passes through Xiehe Road, Fuquan Road, Songhong Road, Pingtang Road and Jianhe Road.
The completion of the project will provide convenience to nearby residents and relieve traffic pressure, as well as fuel the development of Hongqiao Business District.
