The 11 movies include "My People, My Homeland,” “Running to the Spring,” “Li Baoguo,” “A Smile from the Mountain” and “A Noble Spirit.”

Most are based on the real-life stories of ordinary people and depict the country’s tremendous development over the years.

A special edition of “My People, My Homeland" will be for the visually impaired.

Chinese author and director Han Han will narrate the film’s information, scenes and storyline.

There will also be a similar special edition of Stanley Tong’s action film “Vanguard,” starring Jackie Chan.

The program to help people with visual impairment enjoy movies was launched by the Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Association and the Shanghai Charity Foundation.
