Two tiger cubs at Shanghai Zoo in Changning District are ready to say hello to visitors and science popularization activities will be held during the National Day holiday, the zoo said on Wednesday.

Animals will enjoy a special feast on Thursday, the Mid-Autumn Festival, and visitors are being invited to make mooncakes for them.

Bengal tiger cubs Da Nan and Xiao Nan, born in the summer, and a South American tapir born in September will be introduced to visitors during the holiday.

The zoo’s "penguin walk" will allow visitors to get close to penguins and observe their behavior as they take a stroll outdoors. About 10 to 20 black-footed penguins will be following zookeepers along a boulevard for around 50 meters.

Guided tours will also be held at the zoo during the holiday.
