19th CPC National Congress spokesperson holds press conference

Tuo Zhen, spokesperson for the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, is holding a press conference on Tuesday afternoon at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, briefing the media on the upcoming congress.

The press conference started at around 4:30pm. 

A preparatory meeting of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has appointed Liu Yunshan as secretary-general of the congress, Tuo said.

The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will conclude on October 24, he said.

The agenda for the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has been set at the preparatory meeting for the Party congress, Tuo said.
