Shanghai will offer potential visitors a glimpse into its enchanting landscape, culture and people at the China International Travel Mart which kicks off in Kunming, Yunnan Province today.

The exhibition of Shanghai features 35 stands, showing off a variety of attractions including a recreation of Shanghai's classic shikumen (stone gate) houses, and a 4K virtual reality experience featuring the city’s 45 kilometers of uninterrupted pedestrian path along Huangpu River, allowing visitors to experience Shanghai's tourism splendor and charm.

Visitors to the showcase are also able to appreciate the beauty of Shanghai Tower, the tallest building in China and the second tallest in the world, and Shanghai Jinmao Tower, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center in the Lujiazui area via 3D naked-eye shows and virtual reality.

A 4K virtual reality promotional video “Our Shanghai”, showcasing a panoramic view of the city, is also being screened.

Shanghai's unique Shikumen-style buildings, as well as landmarks like Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl TV Tower, are replicated at the site.

Itineraries themed on Shanghai's scenic spots, culture, arts, delicacies, and festivals are offered, giving tourists a number of options for visiting and enjoying the city. 

The three-day travel fair showcases tourism destinations from around the world, offering potential travelers ideas and inspiration for their next adventure.
