Police in northeast China’s Dalian City are offering a 20,000 to 100,000 yuan (US$3,180 - US$15,900) reward for information that could lead to the arrest of a murder suspect, police said on Wednesday.

A 51-year-old man, Cui Jiahui, is wanted by police for his alleged involvement in a “serious criminal case” that happened in Zhaotun Village, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, around 5pm on Monday.

Police didn’t reveal whether there were deaths involved, but a report from the China Youth Daily said four people were murdered, citing a villager.

The unidentified source told the newspaper that the four victims were a senior couple and their two sons.

Cui, a native of Datan Township in Dalian, is 178 centimeters in height and of medium build.
