China on Friday announced its monthly list of grassroots heroes for June.

The list of 108 "Good Samaritans", whose deeds have received widespread accolades, was published by the Office of the Spiritual Civilization Development Steering Commission of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.

One such hero is the cabin crew of the Sichuan Airlines Flight 3U8633, which was forced to make an emergency landing after its cockpit window broke. The crew's professional reaction saved all 119 passengers on board and themselves as well.

Other people on the list include Fang Guifu, a teacher who gave all his savings to students from impoverished families; Cao Guangling, who took care of more than 10 orphans or children in poverty; and Qiu Yucai, who dashed into fires twice and saved the lives of two people.

Their good deeds are detailed on a website operated by the office, and have received more than 40 million views and 6.67 million likes and comments.
