Japanese Palme d'Or winner to hit Chinese screen

The Japanese film "Shoplifters,"  a winner at Palme d'Or, is to be screen in China from August 3.

Directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, the film is a heartwarming story about a poor family whose members actually are not related by blood.

The film had a special screening during the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival last month, winning a long-time applause from the audience. Many viewers praised it as deeply touching.
