Three former senior officials have recently been charged with graft, China's Supreme People's Procuratorate announced in a statement on Monday.

Lu Wei, former deputy head of the Publicity Department of the CPC central committee and former head of the Cyberspace Administration of China, has been prosecuted by the Ningbo People's Procuratorate of Zhejiang Province on the charge of abusing power and public resources for personal purposes and illegally accepting large sums of money, according to the statement. 

Mo Jiancheng, former member of the Party committee of the Ministry of Finance, has been prosecuted by the Beijing People's Procuratorate, while Zhang Jiehui, former vice governor of Hebei Province, has been prosecuted by the Taiyuan People's Procuratorate of Shanxi Province, the statement said.

Both of them were prosecuted on the same charges as Lu, according to the statement.
