About 23 percent of young Chinese resign without a new job offer, according to a survey conducted by China Youth Daily.

Giving up a current job without finding a new one is described as "naked resignation" in Chinese.

Nearly half of the respondents said they had considered naked resignation, but never did it.

Dissatisfaction with salary and failing to adapt to company management styles were the main reasons for young people to quit without a new job. Other reasons include different career plans, pressure from work and interpersonal relationship problems.

The recent survey questioned 1,972 employees aged 18 to 35.
