A 6.0-magnitude earthquake jolted the waters off Taiwan's Hualien County at 12:34pm Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake jolted the waters off Taiwan's Hualien County at 12:34pm Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter was monitored at about 24.01 degrees north latitude and 122.65 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 30 km, the center said in a statement.
