“Cirque du Soleil X,” the famous theatrical producer’s only existent resident show in Asia, will be staged in Hangzhou from next year.

The show will be presented at the Sun Theater in Xintiandi, Hangzhou, as a successful integration of traditional Eastern culture and Western culture.

The show was backed by Hangzhou Xintiandi Group, and was produced in association with Cirque du Soleil over five years.

According to Neilson Vignola, director of creation at Cirque du Soleil, the show is an incredible, immersive experience depicting an epic legend.

The story begins with two ancient kingdoms, Petra in the Western Kingdom and Aria in the Eastern Kingdom, who were originally torn apart. It then follows the quest of the hero and heroine to reunite, while experiencing a series of fantastic adventures.

In addition to wonderful visuals, audiences will feel strong artistic and cultural symbolism.

The Sun Theater can accommodate 1,500 people, and audience members can watch "East and West World" from two different sides in two rotating seating units.

As a celebrated live entertainment brand, Cirque du Soleil is based in Canada and was founded in 1984. Its shows have successfully attracted more than 190 million audience members worldwide.

“Cirque du Soleil X” will be resident in Hangzhou. Its premiere tickets can be officially booked during the Double 11 festival on Damai.
