The debris of a sightseeing helicopter is seen in the Mount Emei scenic area of Sichuan Province after it crashed into a road on Sunday.

Two pilots were slightly injured after a sightseeing helicopter crashed into a road in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Sunday, local authorities said.

The injured pilots were sent to a local hospital for treatment after the crash, which happened about 12:10pm in the Mount Emei scenic area, according to the area's management committee.

The helicopter was a two-seat R22 single-engine light utility helicopter manufactured by US Robinson Helicopter Company.

Local authorities said there were no other people injured or vehicles damaged in the accident. The road has reopened one-way after temporary closure.

An investigation is ongoing.
