House collapse triggered by a landslide in north China's Shanxi Province has left two people dead and 17 others missing, local authorities said Saturday.

The accident happened around 6:10pm Friday in the township of Zaoling in Linfen city, where a landslide toppled two residential buildings and a public bathhouse.

So far, 13 people have been pulled out of the debris, but two of them were found dead. The rescuers are searching for the missing people, the local government said.

More than 600 people, including public security officers, armed police, emergency rescue and medical staff, are participating in the rescue.
