8 injured in stabbing spree in high school

Eight students were injured when another went on a stabbing spree in a boarding school in Tianmen City, central China’s Hubei Province, police said in an online statement.

The 16-year-old 10th grader injured eight classmates in their classroom at Huatai High School around 6:10am Friday, the statement said.

The injured students were taken to hospital, but none have life-threatening injuries, police said.

The attacker was apprehended at the scene.
