British HK Consulate employee released
An employee of the British Consulate in Hong Kong was released Saturday, Shenzhen police said.
Simon Cheng was freed after serving a 15-day administrative detention for violating the Law of the People's Republic of China on Penalties for Administration of Public Security, police said on Weibo, China’s Twitter-like social media.
Cheng’s rights were safeguarded during his detention and he had confessed to the violation, police said.
