China sees fewer criminal cases filed in first 9 months
The number of criminal cases filed from January to September this year dropped 5.2 percent from the same period of last year, according to the Ministry of Public Security.
The number of severe violent crime cases during this period dropped 10.9 percent year on year, Vice Minister Du Hangwei said at a meeting on a campaign to crack down on new types of crimes.
Du said that police will continue adopting traditional means as well as new technologies in cracking difficult cases.
