The 5th China Education Innovation Expo raised its curtain in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, on Wednesday.
The four-day event is displaying over 2,000 of the latest educational achievements and programs from home and abroad.
Twenty of them have received SERVE awards for their contributions to elementary, special and foreign-language education.
Cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things have also been applied to today’s STEM education.
The Shanghai-based DFRobot is presenting a STEM workshop for local students during the expo.
With the workshop, children can practice and learn the basic principles of programming and physics. They can create objects such as an acoustic-controlled windmill and phonograph using paper, play dough, wood and blocks, among other materials.
The expo has also invited experts and scholars from all over the world to a forum and academic salons on new trends in education innovation.
