Tianjin, a municipality in northern China, has confirmed two cases of coronavirus-related pneumonia, the city’s health commission said on Tuesday.

One of the patients is a 60-year-old woman who had recently traveled to Wuhan in central China's Hubei Province. She developed a fever and coughing after her return to Tianjin. She went to a local hospital on January 19 and was immediately put into isolation. She is the first confirmed coronavirus case in Tianjin, according to the National Health Commission.

The other patient is a 58-year-old man who was on a recent business trip to Wuhan. He also developed fever and coughing symptoms after his return. He went to a local hospital on January 14 and was put into isolation.

Both are in a stable condition and their close contacts are undergoing medical observation.
