The Supreme People's Procuratorate announced on Thursday it has decided to arrest Xu Guang, former vice governor of central China's Henan Province, for suspected bribe-taking.

The National Supervisory Commission has completed the investigation into Xu's case and handed it over to prosecuting agencies, the SPP said.

The Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the NSC announced last month that Xu had been expelled from the party and dismissed from public office over serious violations of Party discipline and laws.
