Northeast China's Jilin Province reported two new confirmed COVID-19 cases Sunday, local health authorities said Monday.

The provincial health commission said both the two domestically transmitted cases in the city of Jilin were close contacts of earlier confirmed cases.

No new asymptomatic cases were reported Sunday in the province, with three still under medical observation by Sunday.

By Sunday, the province had reported a total of 127 locally transmitted confirmed cases, including two deaths and 103 who had been discharged from hospital after recovery. There are still 22 patients receiving treatment in hospital, all in the city of Jilin, and 1,117 close contacts of locally transmitted cases under medical observation.
