The 2020 Maritime Silk Road Culture and Tourism Expo will take place in Ningbo, neighboring Zhejiang Province, on September 25, featuring both online and offline displays and activities, the Publicity Department of Ningbo has announced.

The offline exhibition held at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center from September 25 to 27 will have six themes centering on the integration of culture and tourism, international cultural exchange, cultural build-up, cultural and financial cooperation, culture in daily life and tourism consumption recovery.

It will gather some 10,000 exhibitors such as the Baoku Culture Center from Shanghai which will showcase the Chinese aesthetic life scene. Ten events including forums and performances will be held during the expo to promote the upgrading of the cultural and tourism industry, said Wei Zumin, executive deputy director of the Publicity Department of Ningbo City.

A "cloud exhibition hall" and webcasts will be part of the expo because of the coronavirus. Night exhibitions will be held to boost the night economy.

A night cultural and innovative product bazaar will be held, and a food exhibition is also on the agenda to promote signature delicacies of time-honored restaurants of Ningbo.
