China kindergarten bus crash leaves 4 dead, 9 injured

A kindergarten bus crashed with a truck in central China's Henan Province Wednesday, killing four people, including three kindergarten kids, and injuring nine others, local authorities confirmed.

The accident happened at 7:56 am on a road near the Bailong village in the city of Yuzhou as a truck collided with a minibus carrying 13 people, including 11 kindergarten kids and one teacher, said an official with the Yuzhou municipal cyberspace department.

The accident killed three kids and the teacher. The injured — the bus driver and eight kids — are under treatment and in stable conditions, the official said.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
