16 dead in coal mine incident in SW China's Chongqing
As many as 16 people have died out of the 17 that were trapped in a coal mine in southwest China's Chongqing on Sunday.
Exceeding levels of carbon monoxide were detected in the mine around 12:30am on Sunday, entrapping the people inside.
Following a rescue operation, the only survivor of the incident has been sent to a hospital for treatment.
The cause of the incident is still being investigated.
