At least 3 dead as traffic accidents leave over 10 vehicles on fire

At least three people were killed and six others injured after three successive road accidents had left more than 10 vehicles on fire.

At least three people were killed and six injured after three road accidents left more than 10 vehicles ablaze on a foggy on Tuesday morning in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, authorities said.

Multiple vehicles crashed successively around 7am on an expressway bridge in the city of Tongchuan, according to the city's publicity department.

The expressway links Baotou City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Maoming of Guangdong Province.

More than 10 vehicles caught fire. The open flames of the fire have been extinguished.

Rescuers continue to search for any remaining victims.
