An unclaimed mobile phone with suspected message was found in a plane flying from New Delhi to Bangkok, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport, Thai police said Thursday.

The plane 9W 66 of Indian-flagged Jet Airways, carrying 155 passengers, landed at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport at 8:42 p.m. local time on Wednesday.

An Indian couple said they found a mobile phone on a seat in front of them and gave the phone to a flight attendant to locate the owner.

The captain, after finding the phone was displaying "Downloading. Do not turn target" , worried that it was a bomb threat as it was reported that suspicious stuffs were found in an airport in India just few hours before the flight took off.

He informed the airport control center to activate an emergency plan.

The aircraft landed in an isolated parking stand and all passengers were evacuated from the plane.

Police said they found nothing suspicious on the plane after a full search.

The situation of Suvarnabhumi airport has returned to normal. Further details are under investigation.
