Voice, data recorders of crashed Ethiopian Airlines jet sent to France for investigation

Ethiopian Airlines said Thursday that both data and voice recorders extracted from the crashed Ethiopian aircraft that killed all 157 people aboard have been sent to France.

Ethiopian Airlines said Thursday that both data and voice recorders extracted from the crashed Ethiopian aircraft that killed all 157 people aboard on Sunday have been sent to France.

"An Ethiopian delegation led by Accident Investigation Bureau has flown the Flight Data Recorder and Cockpit Voice Recorder to Paris, France for investigation," a statement from the Ethiopian Airlines Group on Thursday read.

The tragic Nairobi-bound Ethiopian plane crashed near Bishoftu town, about 45 km from the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa early Sunday, and killed all the 149 passengers and 8 flight crew members on board.
